We take a careful, unhurried approach to facial aesthetic treatments. A consultation is always required before any treatment takes place — this is not just good practice, it is a legal requirement for prescription medicines.
At your consultation, your practitioner will review your medical history, assess the areas you would like treated, explain what is and is not achievable, and answer any questions you may have. There is no obligation to proceed on the same day.
When you are ready to go ahead, the treatment itself is straightforward. Using a very fine needle, small amounts of botulinum toxin are injected into the targeted muscles. Most appointments take between 10 and 20 minutes. Some patients find the injections mildly uncomfortable; topical anaesthetic cream is available if you would prefer it.

If you are concerned about discomfort, topical anaesthetic cream can be applied beforehand to numb the area. Yes. Botulinum toxin has a range of medical applications beyond cosmetic wrinkle reduction. Most healthy adults are suitable candidates. However, treatment is not appropriate if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a history of certain neuromuscular conditions (such as myasthenia gravis), have an infection in the proposed treatment area, or have a known allergy to any ingredient in the product. A thorough medical history review at consultation will determine whether treatment is appropriate for you. We will never proceed if there is any clinical reason not to.
